Gaisbock in Fischen im Allgau

Very cozy. Friendly hosts. Great food. Something different than the standard menu in the Allgäu

The view from the outside lured us in and we were not disappointed. Inside, a very bright, cozy and rustic guest room opened up to us, with various individual rooms. A new perspective opens up again and again. Of course, the goat stylized on a stone or as a decorative head on the wall should not be missing. The hygiene rules are strictly implemented, all tables are set far apart or are separated by plexiglass on rustic wooden holders. Digital registration is the first thing the very friendly service staff does and then places us. The selection of dishes is good, there is something for everyone ... Vegan is also available. The food arrives quickly and warmly at the table and tastes very tasty. We had the Allgäuer Kässup, Allgäuer Schlutzkrapfen and the Tyrolean salad. The portions are generous, my wife couldn't make her salad after the cheese soup. As the waitress remarked very nicely ... we would have packed the rest for you too. We were more than satisfied and will definitely come back with friends when we're back in the Allgäu. Since there was unfortunately little going on due to the tightening of the Corona rules, I was able to take the opportunity to take pictures in compliance with data protection regulations. I hope the goat survives Corona!

Modern restaurant with an alpine touch. Nice and bright yet cozy! The staff, super friendly and committed. They really have what it takes to give their guests a great and unforgettable stay The kitchen, it conjures up what it takes and, above all, the cold rooms. Really good! Wao! It was just wonderful! Starting with the staff, who always (honestly) smiles at you, to the ambience, which is really fantastic (even in spite of the Corona rules perfectly solved) to this bombastic meal. Very nice, newly renovated restaurant - really great! The food, we had the Dorfalp pan and the South Tyrolean salad, was wonderful and also very nicely presented! The service was also friendly and brisk - keep it up!

The dishes were okay but not a highlight. I had chosen the Dorfsau and found the meat quality / taste rather mediocre. The tomato on the meat wasn't special either. The vegetables underneath were good. The fries were almost a separate portion and would have ended up in the upper area at a snack as red / white fries. The service was friendly and the schnapps can be described as excellent (at least apricot and raspberry, which we had approved).

We ate there several times on vacation. It is always worthwhile. The food and drink selection is huge. The portions are quite generous and everything is really tasty. You can even find rare dishes like baked sweetbreads there. Of course, I didn't miss that. The staff is friendly, you can sit comfortably in the large dining room, which is clad in light wood and divided into several rooms. Booking in advance is compulsory, otherwise you have to be happy if you can still find a table in the patio. I can recommend a visit to the Gaisbock to anyone who wants to go fishing for a meal. The prices are slightly higher than at the Kreuzwirt right next door. But that's intentional, because both have the same owner. Nevertheless, the price level is in the popular range.

A reservation is recommended. Since we had planned our day flexibly and we only called in the evening, a reservation was no longer possible. We were told to come by a certain time and then maybe it would work. After a short wait, we got a table. The restaurant is comfortably furnished, the staff attentive and friendly. The food is a dream. Highly recommended!

Everything freshly prepared - even in the middle of the afternoon - and very lovingly presented. The interior is very stylish and harmonious. The menu is very diverse and varied. Large plaque indicates mouthguards and that you should please wait, a table will be shown to you. After a long wait, I can ask for a table and the waitress jokes at me that many tables are free and that I can choose one. As I sit down, the same waiter comes and pams me again: "Not at the table!" No explanation, I ask, I am switched on again. Thank you for nothing. Went. A star? Too much of...

We 3 ladies were there on August 25th in the evening. We received a very friendly welcome despite no prior reservation. The nice lady (black hair - ponytail) (unfortunately didn't ask for the name, but Gabi was on the bill?) Who served us over the period was great. We were very excited. We wanted to thank her the next day but unfortunately we didn't find her. That's why we wanted to leave the praise on this path. The food was also very tasty. We stayed in a very nice apartment in the Gaisbock for a few days. The apartment is bright, modern and clean. We felt very comfortable. We ate twice in the restaurant and each time we loved the decor, the nice and attentive service and, last but not least, the very good food. The food is freshly prepared and you can taste the high quality ingredients and the skills of the chefs. Thank you for the wonderful hours with you in the Dorfalpe.

We had 4 different main dishes - the fries were ok. The radio music a bit irritating.

Horrible service! Waitresses were walking past our table and going on smoke breaks while all our drinks were empty for over an hour. We were trying to catch their attention and order but get ignored. Once it we finally got someone with some kind of authority to talk to, we were told that it’s closing time and they wouldn’t even serve us an „Absacker“. We had rented an apartment that belongs to the restaurant but they wouldn’t even serve us a drink to take to the room either. Very disappointing! Food was ok, but nothing special.

We were in this beautiful house from July 11th to July 20th, 2020. We felt very comfortable in the house. The apartment was clean, well-kept and equipped with everything. We didn't miss anything. The location was particularly beautiful. Central in the village with short distances, but still idyllically located. I also give 5 stars for the gastronomy in the house. The dining room was modern but very cozy, decorated in light wood. The food was just delicious. We ate here every night. The staff was just mega. So friendly, polite, funny, courteous and incredibly committed. We felt so comfortable that we spontaneously extended another day. We will definitely be happy to come back next year. But then for 2 weeks. A week is simply not enough for this beautiful area.

The food was really good. The meat was tender and also very flavorful. There was also a very good selection of dishes so I couldn't even decide what to take. The only thing I didn't like was the waitress. She was very calm and hardly said anything. But still really nice there.

We are excited!!! Unfortunately we only discovered the restaurant on our last day here in the Allgäu, otherwise we would have come again! The food was really phenomenal: I had "ox meets sow" (= 1 beef rib and 1 pork rib) and the meat was really tender, fell off the bone and was extremely tasty. And then the BBQ sauce ... My wife had beef roulades: as promised in the menu, as from grandma: also super tender and very lean meat, as we like it. And all at a really affordable price! Sensational! Thank you so much! We love to come back when we are in the area again!
